Vizio Ends Suit With MPEG-2 License

Law360, New York (November 18, 2008) -- Consumer electronics producer Vizio Inc. has obtained a license for a portfolio of patents that cover a video compression standard, effectively putting a stop to a pending patent enforcement action brought by a group of technology giants that includes Mitsubishi Electric Corp., Samsung Electronics Co., Sony Corp. and Philips Electronics NV.
